first, decant the wine,
like 100 silk threads going down the decanter~
menu:
penne all'arrabbiata
garlic bread
roast beef and mango salad
bacon and eggplant
special dressing (thanks P-san!)
tons of garlic!

went to kazu on irving and 9th
everything was great!
fresh katsuo straight from tsukiji!
finish with ramen from shrimp broth~
great food, great owner.

mochitsuki

it's time for mochitsuki!
hard core mochitsuki fans are pounding 250lbs of mochi!
starts with steaming the rice, classic way
get a help from modern technology
(ahaha! unko!)
getting lectures from bunch of drunk guys

pound!
after it's pounded, time to shape the mochi
after little bit of work, eat and drink
meatafter long long long hours of doing all the above,
natures were fighting against people leaving
with one none drunk driver and
bunch of other drunks with many cars,
they finally got out!
